Krennerite

Rare Mineral

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Robb-Montbray Mine, Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Québec, Canada
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Micromount (under 1cm)
Size:
0.8 × 0.5 × 0.4 cm
Description

Outstanding specimen of sharp metallic krennerite crystals, maybe associated to minoritary montbrayite, although the analysis performed on the sample only shows krennerite (see copy attached). In my opinion montbrayite may be present, but only as very small /microscopic inclusions. If it was the case, this would be montbrayite from the type locality in Montbray !.

Ex.F.Bauer and C.Rewitzer collections.

The original label from F.Bauer collection will be sent to the buyer (see cover and back of this label in items and labels sections, respectiely)

Krennerite is a rare Au-Ag telluride mineral.
