Description

A grey phyllite matrix with a coating of white botryoidal material that shows a colour change to pink on the upper surface as a result of additional cobalt.
Presented to the School Of Mines, Columbia College, N.Y. by D.S.Egleston in 1869 and later given to the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences as an exchange specimen. Academy Acquisition No.21088.
