Description

A single, quite well-formed black crystal of hornblende frozen in basalt matrix rock.

Comes with original hand-written label of A. A. Damour (1808-1902), a well-known french mineralogist. His personal mineral collection was sold to F. Krantz (who was in charge of the Krantz mineral dealership between 1891 and 1926), probably shortly after his death.

Damour was sufficiently famous that Krantz had special labels printed identifying the specimens from the Damour collection (second label).

Paypal is NOT accepted within Germany! I will charge a supplement of 2.5% for paypal payments within Germany. Bank transfer / offline payment is without costs and usually also completed within one day.
