North Flinders Ranges, Flinders Ranges, South Australia, Australia

Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
4.5 × 4.1 × 3.9 cm
Description

A large and well formed deep green, single terminated crystal of hornblende with some smaller crystals that have formed on one side. There are also some small octahedral crystals of hematite pseudomorphing magnetite scattered around the the sides of the crystal.

This is one of the cleanest and sharpest crystals I have seen in this size range from this area.
