This is a very interesting pseudomorph of hematite and limonite after scalenohedral calcite.Innumerable highly lustrous, botryoidal crystal aggregates of greenish adamite are contrastingly distributed on this piece.
A beautiful and typical specimen from the ancient mining district of Lavrion in Greece.
