Description

 Dark brown partially carbonised wood from the lignite deposit in the Hart area near Gloggnitz.  This is the type locality for this material.The specmen has an early collection number attached - 775 and the original hand written label with matching number is supplied with the specimien.  Later in the E.D.Drown collection prior to becoming part of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia mineral collection.
