Description

In contrast of what you may think, this is the rarest specimen of my auction this week. It is from a recent find (2018) and features superb sharp crystals of gypsum that have been completely replaced by compact malachite.

The original gypsum crystals can be recognized due to the classic arrowhead twinning, that form elongated hart-shaped twins, parallelly collated in extended groups. The surface is splendidly occupied by twinned groups and it is in pristine condition, no damages.

The interstitial space was filled by chunky, light blue chrysocolla, and some rests are still visible in some intercrystallite space.
