Description

From Jachymov, the type locality of uraninite, specimen with reddish-yellow mass of “eliasite”, a synonym of gummite, formed by alteration of black lustrous uraninite. Specimen #33 of Ennio Contarini (IT) collection.

With two original labels, the oldest one is from Julius Böhm (Vienna, Austria) that can be dated to the period 1925-1938 according to Wilson, W.E (2017) “Mineralogical Record Biographical Archive”.
