Description

A interesting specimen from Graubünden (Grischun). The label states Sexta Maduna which is the Sixmadun or Piz Badus, a mountain at the border of Uri and Graubünden. The specimen exhibits quite large orangebrown hessonite crystals on matrix, called Hyazinthgranat, an old german synonym. Old label, rare material. Krantz stock, the former collector is unknown to me but i suspect the specimen being from the early 19th century at least.
