Description

This specimen features a beautiful and sharp cluster of galena crystals in cubic octahedrons, partly stained by an unknown mineral in iridiscent green, yellow and purple colors.
The label states goslarite as main mineral but I was not able to identify it. As it is water-soluble Zn sulfate, it may have been washed away by prior owners or wrong storage.

Nevertheless, a nice classic from Banská Štiavnica (Schemnitz), Slovakia.
