Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Thumbnail (1-3cm)

2 × 1.8 × 1.8 cm
Description

A perfectly crystallized fluorite octahedron from the Mont Blanc Massif (Petite Fourche is the exact locality). The crystal is a perfect octahedron that also tapers downward before growing onto the light matrix. Its faces show a good triangular structure with silky luster. Despite the intense pink color, the fluorite is very transparent. This fluorite is not that big, but the growth and quality makes this piece an alpine highlight.
