Fluorite & Aquamarine

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Frans Prospect, Brandberg, Dâures, Erongo Region, Namibia
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
4.4 × 3.7 × 3.5 cm
Description

Very rare material from an older discovery, that produced only little quantity and very hard to obtain. It is very difficult to show the difference of colour between aquamarine and fluorite. The aquamarine is light blue, sharp terminated, gemmy and very glossy. The fluorite is light green with some violet zones and with etched surface. So in person you will see more contrast between this both minerals. One minor damage on one Aqua at the backside, bottom was on the rock. Came out of the personal collection from a dealer and collector from Vienna who visited Namibia during decades and acquired the particular specimen from small-miners in Namibia.
