Spectacular specimen formed by an aggregate of fluorite crystals of an intense violet color of up to 5 cm .; with perfectly defined and sharp edges and faces, a well-structured sample, of a great brightness, and that with backlight shows a surprising color between the blue and the lilac color of the mine "La Enchanted", in the municipality of Múzquiz, Mexico. The mine was discovered in the mid-twentieth century, is part of the Sierra Madre Oriental mountain range, and consists of skarn deposits surrounded by calcareous sedimentary formations of the lower Cretaceous age. Most mineral reserves consist of oxidized concentrations of silver, lead, hematite and other minerals such as cerusite and anglesite. Mineralogy of mine deposits is predominantly iron oxides, carbonates and lead sulfates with high concentrations of silver. The piece that is taught, an isometric crystalline system halide, which is found as a bargain mineral in hydrothermal veins that contain mostly lead and zinc, is also found in some greisens, granites, pegmatites and high temperature veins, and as a component of some marbles and other metamorphic rocks. Its hardness is low and morphologically it is found in cubic form normally, although they are also found as octahedra and even dodecahedra and rarely as hexoctahedra and tetrahexahedrons. It can show fluorescence and also phosphorescence, being able to be thermoluminescent or triboluminescent; Some samples are sensitive to light, and pale. The piece that is taught is spectacular, in brightness, morphology, color, and luminosity that make it be demanded by collectors who want to have a large specimen of fluorite from this Mexican mine.
