Description

I vividly remember the first time, when I went in 1995 with my Greek friend Vangelis the Fernando 1 Mine. The tunnels, especially the area of the entrence there, are almost antique ~ 2000 years old and therefore not really higher than  70 cm. It felt like 2 hours crawling before we got to the site. After that I was completely exhausted and it lasted years before I went back. Here you see superbly,- self-collected!!!,- cubes of transparent Fluorite accompanied by small Calcite crystals. This stuf is a bit reminescent to the material of Megala Pefka Mine Nr. 28, but way more rare. The excellent crystals are showing a fine violet colour, they are razor sharp and high lustrous. A real good specimen and believe me,- exceeding hard to come by. I wouldn´t find the site nowadays.
