Description

Old Guard Mine, Tombstone, Cochise County, Arizona, United States of America

Crystals on Matrix

Thumbnail (1-3cm)
Size:
2.9 × 2.2 × 1.5 cm
Description

A fine specimen of dugganite and khinite from the Old Guard Mine. This specimen came to me labeled khinite, but examination under the microscope revealed that the specimen was quite rich in dugganite, but no khinite crystals could be located.   In one area of the specimen, deep green massive material embedded in matrix appears to be the khinite as labeled.
