Description

Renierite and germanite are the only two significant germanium ores. This specimen consists of major massive renierite, typical metallic bronze-pink color, accompanied by metallic blue covellite and brass yellow chalcopyrite which gives a very colorful combination. Meanwhile hard-to-get.

From the type locality of renierite: Kipushi Mine (Prince Léopold Mine), Kipushi, Katanga (Shaba), Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaïre)
