Description

A large sheet of native copper with a group red patina on matrix from the Sliding Rock Mine. Examining the material of this specimen it is easy to imagine and slipper and treacherous nature of the country rock at this location. The copper in this specimen follows fault lines and slicken slides through the matrix, the copper being finely crystallised showing fern like aggregates of crystals along the sheet edges
