Description

Set of 15 quartz var citrine specimens in different colors. The pics 3 and 6 show citrine in yellow to smoky colors, the crystals in pic 5 seems to be the typical fired amethyst. Pic 4 shows a yellow-green variety of quartz resembling heliodor.

Comes with old label of Eugen Hussak. He was born in 1856 in Graz, Austria and studied geology under Ferdinand Zirkel in Leipzig, where he earned his PhD.
He was a member of the Geological Survey of Brazil (Geographic and Geologic Commission) in Saõ Paolo in 1887-1895, and wrote numerous articles on Brazilian mineralogy. Thus, his collection consisted predominantly of brazilian minerals, other locations are scarce.

Size is given for the box, individual specimens range from 1.2 to 3.2 cm.
