Description

Lustrous crystalline gold blebs embedded in the apple- to grey-green chrysocolla layer at the top of the specimen. The rest of the matrix consists of quartz, partly emerald-green colored due to inclusions of an unidentified mineral, and brown limonite.

I did not find any reference for a Zuelfrey or Zwelfrey mine in Nye Co., Nevada. As there are countless gold mines and prospects, and the specimen is potentially old, maybe one of the experts can help here.
