Description

A good sample of chromium ore from the Feragen chromium mines south of Røros with black, massive chromite and some greyish/greenish talc and hydrotalcite – remnants of the former dunitic host rocks.
The specimen is from the collection of the famous Swedish mineralogist Harry von Eckermann († 1969, the mineral Eckermannite is named after him) and is followed by an original label bonded in a cardboard box.
