Description

Thin layer of white translucent chalcedony coating the top of transparent quartz crystals. It is a floater specimen, with the rear side coloured green by inclusions of dark greenalite, a rare Fe-silicate. According to Manteca & Ovejero (1992) the Cartagena-La Unión mining district has one the biggest greenalite deposits of the world.
