Description

Lusterous, sharp black needles of goethite spray up between hundreds of doubly terminated quartz crystals, dominating this specimen is what appears to be a japan law twinned quartz that has been completely encapsulated with a secondary quartz overgrowth. Included in many of the quartz crystals are small white balls of  banded chalcedony

Acquired as a quartz/chalcedony nodule at the Loxton gemboree in 1986 and subsequently trimmed.
