A pristine cluster of snow-white calcite crystals with pearly luster. The crystals consist of smaller, parallel-grown subindividuals. The specimen has some beautiful details like the small rutile var. sagenite (pics 4 & 5).

A rare and highly sought-after locality specimen from the construction period of the Simplon railway tunnel. The two one-way tubes were built in 1898–1905 und 1912–1921. Nearly 20 kms long, it was worlds longest tunnel until the end of the 1970s.
