Description

Prismatic crystal of stibnite that has been completely replaced by “stibiconite”. The specimen is a tube-like piece, partially hollow, with the surfaces spotted by nests of tabular calcite. Perfectly terminated, with the base detached off the matrix, and associated to calcite, which is not common,

Old piece, acquired in 1977 by Georges Vanacker*.

*Vanackerite from Tsumeb was named after him.
