Description

Unknown to most collectors, the famous olympic winter sports area, Garmisch, hosts a very nice calcite locality with giant, suggested 'Mercedes-star'-shaped crystals. This specimen is a rather good sample of those with stacked crystals up to 7.7 cm. Hard to photograph. Looks far better in nature. A few dings and minor edge wear.
