One more very rare specimen from Austrian Alps! Rutile var sagenite on matrix! Rutile is generally rare in Alps, but for Mörchner Kar it is more than rare! The crystals are very thin some in the diameter of a hair, they show intense red color and amazing luster. The matrix shows chlorite, minor hematite, adularia and calcite. The piece is developed as floater and the backside show two larger exposed calcite crystals. A really uncommon, rare and eye-catching combination! No significant damages to report.
