Description

Ternesite is a very rare Ca silicate-sulfate. The specimen hosts amorphous green ternesite, accompanied by beige colored calcio-olivine, in-grown in a xenolite.

Rare mineral, only found at a few localities worldwide.

From the type locality of ternesite, the Bellerberg volcano, Ettringen, Mayen, Eifel, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
