Description

A colorful specimen from a rarely seen locality in Tunisia. "Berthonite" is a synonym for bournonite.
The specimen hosts thin layers of bournonite with metallic lustre as well as greenish to yellow masses of bindheimite. Maybe there are further minerals to discover...
The locality maybe inaccurate because "Djebel Slata" ("Djebel" = arabic "Mountain") doesn't exist, and the mineral composition does not fit to a Pb-Zn deposit, but Sn-Sb minerals are to be found e.g. in Sidi Youssef Mine nearby.
Comes with old Russell Filer label, dated 1956-1970.
