Description

Closed in the early 1940's, the Silberwiese Mine is one of the better known classic localities in the Westerwald-Siegerland mining district.
This is a very fine and very typical specimen with a good coverage of gemmy red sphalerite crystals, some well-formed grey metallic bournonite crystals and some minor tetrahedrite on a siderite rich matrix.
The specimen has coverage on front and backside and comes with a beautiful old label.
