Description

A rich aggregate of sharp lustrous malachite crystals, with minor transparent baryte, on a thick cluster of alternated layers of chrysocolla, of intense blue colour and glassy aspect on a brown porous matrix.

Collected before 1960, the specimen is from the stock of Robert Verdoodt, who was working in the laboratories of Union Minière du Haut-Katanga and evacuated to Belgium in 1960.
