Description

Divergent radial aggregates to 25mm of prismatic caramel brown crystals of lamprophyllite (variety barium-rich lamprophyllite) from the remote Konder mine (Far-East, Russia). This material is really scarce in the international market. The rock is a nephelin-syenite (alkaline pegmatite) composed of greenish aegirine and pale white nepheline. It is from the Johan Muizebelt collection (NL) N°F409.
