Description

Anthraconite is an uncommon black, carboniferous, often bituminous variety of calcite. The anthraconite on this specimen shows a fatty to partly metallic luster and deep black color.

An odd specimen from Kongsberg mines which is world-famous for silver specimens. Comes with old, hand-written label.
