Description

Intriguing miniature consisting of grey schist hosting approx a dozen sharp brown bipyramidal anatase crystals with great lustre. Crystals are textbook and in great conditions, with only some showing some peripheral wear.
Associated, a couple of cubes of striated pyrite which has been replaced (pseudomorphed) by goethite.
Most of the matrix shows stainings of Fe oxides.

Rich and in very good conditions, this is a specimen from an underrepresented locality on the Central Swiss Alps.

In my collection since over 10 years, I got it at the SMAM show from a local collector, so I expect this to be significantly older than that.
