Description

Jurassuic ammonite, replaced by pyrite. What you see here is a broken cross-cut through an ammonite shell, showing the inside with the chamber´-walls (those show at the outer shell as surtur lines).

The pyrite shows tiny, glossy crystal surfaces with slightly iridescent coloring.
