Description

Hoelite, named after Norwegian geologist Adolf Hoel, is a rare organic mineral species. This specimen from the nowadays cultivated burning dumps of coal mines around Kladno has a rich coverage of tiny yellow acicular hoelite crystals associated with colourless to white-yellow tabular crystals of alunogen.
