Dear collectors of Balkan minerals,

I hope you enjoy my pre-Christmas Romania Special with a focus on large, showy specimen and rare pseudomorphs, for example the ultra-rare ‘coral quartz’ (a pseudomorph after stibnite), blue chalcedony pseudomorph after fluorite, dolomite after calcite, even galena replacing pyrrhotite. The seldom seen material from the gold- and copper mine Bucium is also worth a second look. The real highlights are a fantastic realgar-bearing baryte specimen from Baia Sprie and a nice, well-colored rhodochrosite from the type locality Cavnic.
This time I can offer transport to the Tucson show. I’ll most probably be there the whole time. If you want me to bring you somthing, maybe even collect for a while (December only), please ask.
