MineralService - Brazil: 20 May - 27 May 2025

Here is a large selection of fine minerals I collected or purchased during my numerous mineralogic trips into Brazil; since January 2004 to January 2023, I organized 18 field trips visiting Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraiba, Espirito Santo, Rio de Janeiro and San Paulo states.

Always collecting in mines and visiting the local dealers, I discovered three new specie: Matioliite in Gentil mine, Jahnsite-(NaMnMg) and Jahnsite-(MnMNMg) in Sapucaia mine, Minas Gerais.

NOTICE: in the last two years all the mines in Itinga region (Minas Gerais) were taken under concession by international mining companies for lithium research; nowadays is quite impossible to find minerals in this region.
