I have recently acquired the Steven Phillips collection of rarities and micromounts from the Franklin/Sterling Hill District in New Jersey. Steven is a well-known collector among the Franklin, NJ mineral scene, and has amassed a world-class collection of the minerals found there. Steven, along with his brother, donated mine workings and land belonging to both famous localities to the Sterling Hill Mining Museum and the Franklin Mineral Museum, and he still sits on the advisory board of the former. This collection represents almost 100 years of research and study, and includes samples from the original collections of famous Franklin District collectors like Alice Kraissl, Charles Palache, Russ DeRoo, Neal Yedlin, Van King, Gary Grenier and many others. The collection originated with and was carefully curated by Van King and includes some real rarities and oddities from the mines of the district. I am pleased to be able to offer you selections from this collection over the next months, and hope you don't miss this opportunity to acquire some amazing things that may never be seen again on the market.
