Plinius - Alpine Special Pt II: 10 May - 17 May 2020

Start: 10/05/2020 18:30 BST   End: 17/05/2020 23:20 BST

Dear Friends and Customers,

This week's auction is the 2nd and last part of a 2-auctions set dedicated to Alpine minerals from both classic localities but also rather uncommon species, from different collections, including mine.

Highlights of the auction:

- Anatase (huge!) from Cervandone (Italy)
- Epidote (gemmy; ex Kasper!) from Antrona (Italy)
- Fluorite (zoned!) from Vignola mine (Italy)
- Prehnite (historic!) from Saualpe (Austria)
- Phenakite (Gemmy; ex Lehmann!) from Habach valley (Austria)
- Tinzenite (type locality; ex Kasper!) from Parsettens (Switzerland)

As you are all well aware, we are all going through some challenging times due to the CoViD-19 pandemic outbreak. Plinius is currently running auctions from Italy, and due to the emergency situation I am in a full lockdown as well. While this gives me plenty of time to prepare for the auctions, it is fair to account for several restrictions that might delay some basic services - among those, postal and shipping services. In the next few days, Italy will experience a first lifting of restrictive measures, and I expect to resume shipping of paid specimens around May 15th.

When you are the winning bidder, please pay for the specimen within 1 week.

I will be running auctions on a regular weekly basis, and I will be more than happy to cumulate (stockpile) paid items for the winning customer(s) to up to 1.5kg circa. This will allow you to save on postal costs, but please contact me should you prefer otherwise.

Meanwhile, please keep bidding with confidence. I have two Swiss collections with interesting oldtimers, plus I have started  downsizing my own personal collection.

Thanks for your understanding. It is just a phase, and it will be resumed asap.

Happy bidding, and stay safe everybody :)

Mineralogically yours,

Chris/Plinius
