Description

A rare barium member of the lamprophylllite group, lileyite occurs in a handful of Eifel quarries as nice, brown tabular crystals. This specimen shows a typical, rich association with a perfect light brown striated batisite crystal, sharp lemon yellow titanite and a black pyroxene. The white acicular phase is a byproduct of altered gotzenite.
