Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Pikes Peak, Teller County, Colorado, United States of America
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7.9 × 7 × 6.5 cm
Description

Stout and well defined crystals of deep mint coloured  Amazonite from the world famous locality for the species,- Pikes Peak, Teller Co., Colorado. The crystals are sharp and lustrous with mostly excellent terminations. Some crystals are showing contacts at some points at the periphery. It is obvious, that this specimen was not for weeks in the lab. So it could be a good idea to try to improve it. In any case this is a super colourful specimen, hard to come by in this "classic shape" because many of them are "overtreated".
