Description

A fine multicoloured crystal of rare blue Alkali-Beryl from Deo Darrah in Afghanistan. The crystal is well developed with a lustrous striation and features a multifaced, slightly "fibrous" termination. The colours is light blue at the ends and darker in the center. The termination is complete, on the bottom was the rock. These were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Dr. Federico Pezzotta confirmed they are alkali-rich Beryls.
