Description

This is the best and most high valued item we ever offered in an auction. A superb specimen with several solid wires and multifaced crystals of native silver accompanied by white calcite. A typical association for that locality. The silver wires are well defined and showing crystal faces on their surface. The colour is partially silver white with an excellent contrasting patina.  This is a specimen for highest demands considering aesthetics and rarity. The Kongens Mine was the largest and the oldest silver mine in Kongsberg and started October 18, 1623. It was in operation until mining ended in Kongsberg. The specimen comes with an acrylic base.
