Description

This is a most excellent example of mottramite accompanied by calcite. Mottramite is a secondary lead-copper vanadate and Tsumeb has most probably produced some of the finest  of this species. The piece shows a cluster of well arranged, glassy and mirror bright, colourless calcite, covered with numerous of cauliflower shaped glistening and crystallized mottramite. The multifaced calcite is absolutely transparent, sharp edged and nicely striated. The mottramite features a clear olive green colour. There is no imperfection I can recognize. A super piece.
