Actually the colour of sphalerite is black because of the iron bearing. But in this case, the sphalerite is honey-brown and transparent because of the lack of iron,- the so-called variety cleiophane. The  crystals are mirror bright, razor sharp and multifaced. They are perched on sparkly, tiny quartz. A superb specimen, comes with two old labels.
