Epidote & Byssolite

Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Knappenwand, Zell am See District, Salzburg, Austria
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
10 × 6.8 × 6.8 cm
Largest Crystal:
2.60cm
Description

This is a very good specimen, showing multiple elongated crystals of Epidote, accompanied by hairy Byssolite on typically matrix. This is a very richly crystallized specimen with highly lustrous and sharp crystals of Epidote. Most of the terminations are undamaged and many of them are multifaced as well, what gives the impression of rough surfaced terminations. Of course there are a few imperfections but most of the Knappenwand-Epidotes are not pristine. This is a good chance to bid on a cabinet sized good "Matrix-Epidot".
