Variscite is rare from this well-known Arkansas locale, noted for wavellite. Intensely sparkly, bright green variscite microcrystals richly cover the novaculite matrix on this colorful, fine and uncommon specimen. One part of the matrix looks like a variscite-covered calcite scalenohdron. This is an unusual and for that locality outstanding good piece,- crystals being quite rare from any locale
