Radioactive

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Cameron, Cameron Mining District, Coconino County, Arizona, United States of America
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
3.4 × 3.8 × 1.5 cm
Description

Pale yellow flatlying plates of sabugalite on sandstone matrix.   These can be hard to see against the similarly colored matrix, but they are apparent in person and even more so under ultraviolet light.

From the collection of Arizona legend Arthur Flagg, who passed in 1961 and had his collection in storage for over 50 years before it's distribution eight years ago.   I've not come across another Arizona sabugalite that was not from Arthur's material.
