Description

An excellent nodule of uraninite with clarkeite and gummite  from the type locality district for clarkeite.   This specimen has a core of dense black uraninite, surrounded by orange to brown clarkeite in gummite.   The entire specimen is rimmed by pegmatite material, and the size is just perfect to nicely fill a perky box.    Recently deaquisitioned from the collection of the legendary David P. Wilbur
