Description

A small but rich specimen of grandviewite from the Grand View Mine, located deep within the Grand Canyon.   This specimen features turquoise blue acicular crystals on chalcoalumite.   Grandviewite is a rare sulfate of copper and aluminum, only known from the Grandview mine until a recent description from Lavrion.
